Twenty-seven pork producers owning 8.22 million sows can claim the title of Global Mega Producers for 2017. The Mega Global Producers are as diverse as their geographic location.

Seaboard Foods has a lot to celebrate this year. Not only did the company continue to stay on the coveted Global Mega Producer list but Seaboard Corporation celebrated its 100 year anniversary.
With the continued focus on excellent leadership and collaboration the next 100 years will be exciting.
This year will see the opening of the second shift in the Seaboard, Triumph Foods Plant (STF) in Sioux City, Iowa, as well as continued growth in selected regions.

Seaboard Foods a division of Seaboard Corporation started building farms in Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas and Colorado in the early 90’s. Today they also have facilities in Iowa. Farm operations consist of genetic and commercial breeding, farrowing, nursery and finishing farms. With more than 325,000 sows in 2018, up from 290,000 sows last year, and 5,400 production and packing employees Seaboard ranks in the top three in Pork production United States.
