Twenty-seven pork producers with each owing over 100,000 can claim the title of Global Mega Producers this year. The Mega Global Producers are as diverse as their geographic location.

Expanding fast through a contract partnership business model, Wens Foodstuff is recognized as the largest pork and broiler producer in China and placed number two on the list of Global Mega producers. They currently have an estimated 1,000,000 sows and produced 17 million pigs last year (about 2.3% of national output). Their aim is to increase output to 27.5 million hogs in two years.

The company was established in 1983 by seven farmers in the broiler business. Headquartered in Xinxing County of Guangdong, this quickly growing company is publicly listed, with staff owning shares in the company.
